Free Taster Workshop
7th December 2007 18:00 to 21:00
How can an evening's learning be so much fun and still be life changing? How can you learn some tools and techniques in just 3 hours that will enable you to achieve your goals, manage how you feel and respond to situations and improve the quality of your personal and professional relationships?
Well, the simple answer is to come along to Trinity College in Leamington Spa on December 7th and find out.
We're launching a brand new course through Trinity College in NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It's an approach to developing personal performance, based on understanding and changing our mental processes and view of the world.
Just imagine - if you could develop better relationships, communicate even more effectively and realise your wildest dreams, what would that mean to you, and to the people close to you?
To give you a unique opportunity to find out more we're running a taster evening. There's no cost, and it's the perfect time to see NLP in action, discover how it works for you, take away some powerful tools that you can use right away and meet the training team. You can ask questions, make friends, chat, relax, be entertained and of course learn skills that have the potential to change the course of your life.
The course itself comprises 12 evenings, and if you want to take it further, a 4 day certification module.
All you have to do now is call Sarah Bartlett at Trinity College on 01926 428416 to reserve your place.
NLP Practitioner
NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming - is an approach to developing personal performance, based on understanding and changing our mental processes and view of the world.
Goals, fears, avoidance behaviours, habits, communication, relationships, phobias, sport, career plans, ambitions and are just some of the things that we can work on easily using NLP, helping you to help anyone to change what holds them back and have more of what they want - and in the process you can have more of what you want!
There are two sides to NLP; modelling is the process of figuring out a person's inner mental processes so that they can be reproduced or changed.
If you modelled an exceptional leader or sales person then you could figure out the 'keys' to their success - the handful of perceptions and behaviours that make their results significantly better than those of an average performer. How often have you heard it said that someone is so good at what you do, it would be great if they could be cloned! Well, that's exactly the way that NLP is used to dramatically improve the performance of athletes, sales people, leaders and many other roles where performance is related to how a person thinks.
The second side is to do with the way that we relate and respond to the world through our senses, and through our senses we create a map or simulation of the world. Sometimes that map is very useful, and sometimes it isn't - just like any map! Yet you'll be surprised at how easily you can update your map of the world so that you can find your way through life even more easily and enjoyably.

Of course, since what you learn with NLP has the power to dramatically improve your quality of life and the results you get, it's applicable in any situation, at work and at home. Even parents use NLP to build better relationships with their children!
The name
The name of the field refers to (Neuro) the human nervous system, including the brain and the five senses, (Linguistic) the verbal & non-verbal languages with which we communicate and label the world and (Programming) the ability to structure our behaviour to achieve desired and consistent results.
History
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was developed starting in the early 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, when they set out to model the work of geniuses in the field of human communication and change. The term NLP is used to describe both the approach to modelling that they used, and the powerful models of communication and change they created (and have continued to develop.)
The format of the course
The NLP Practitioner course is in two parts.
The first part is a 12 week series of evening sessions, totalling 36 hours of in depth training and practice, with assignments and optional practice sessions to develop and refine your skills even further. This gives you the basics of NLP and the ability to achieve many of the results you're looking for in your life and work.
The second part is a 4 day intensive certification module. At the end of this, and subject to you meeting the certification criteria, you will be awarded a NLP Practitioner license from NLP's founding certification body, the Society of NLP.
You can take just the first part of the course and choose when part two is right for you - you don't have to commit to that right away so you can develop your skills at your own pace.
Who is running the course?
Peter Freeth is a NLP trainer, coach and author who lives in Warwickshire and has run NLP courses here for 5 years. The course will be delivered partly by Peter and partly by a team of expert trainers who are using NLP every day in coaching, management, sales and a variety of other roles. The training team is bringing you the very best in NLP practice with up-to-the-minute developments and applications so that you can take your new skills and use them right away.
